Our Little Junebug had her four month check-up yesterday. Aside from discovering we probably feed her too much (oops!), June is “perfect” (doctor’s words). She is strong, smart and healthy, and weighs 17 lbs and is 27 inches long! No worries here about the little one getting enough food. She did really well with the second round of immunizations as well–no fever, and only a bit of fussiness. Of course it’s still heartbreaking to see her little face when the needles go in; it is not a happy one.
June has been taking more interest in our food and watches us while we eat. This morning when she was hungry, she looked at Dad’s coffee mug, then at Dad, then his coffee mug, then at Dad, then the coffee mug…Fred said he really felt like she was trying to communicate the fact that she wanted to eat. She isĀ also becoming expert at taking out and putting in her pacifier. She hasn’t quite figured out the best way to grip the pacifier, but it’s still pretty impressive.
Today we’re all staying inside as, with the windchill, it is -26 degrees!
